Full Time Registered Veterinary Technician
Beechmont Pet Hospital, located in Anderson Township, is seeking an enthusiastic person for a full-time veterinary technician. We are a full- service medical facility in Southeast Cincinnati that is committed to promoting responsible pet ownership. We provide “Quality Care at Affordable Prices”. Candidate must have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, have a solid customer service background, be an energetic self-starter, and have the ability to multi-task. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Duties include: Animal handling, restraint, and husbandry. Administer IV, IM, PO and SQ medication. Perform routine radiographic procedures and venipuncture procedures. The candidate must be able to do laboratory procedures including, urinalysis, heartworm, FIV/FELV, fecal exams, and other test. The candidate must also be able to assist with surgery, including surgery prep, monitoring, recovery, instrument prep, sterile technique, skin closure, etc. Other technical procedures include nail trims, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, urine and fecal collection, cleaning wounds, removing sutures, changing bandages, dispensing medication, client education, and admitting and discharging hospitalized patients.
The ideal candidate will be willing to work as late as 11 p.m. on weekdays and until 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A six- week schedule is posted in advance.
High School Diploma or equivalent

Full or Part Time Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

We are a full service medical facility in Southeast Cincinnati that is committed to promoting responsible pet ownership. We provide “Quality Care at Affordable Prices”.
Candidate must have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, have a solid customer service background, be an energetic self-starter, and have the ability to multi-task. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds. Candidate will be assigned to work both as a vet assistant and a receptionist, depending on our needs.
The duties for a veterinary assistant include: animal handling, restraint, and husbandry. Candidate must be able to do laboratory procedures including, urinalysis, heartworm, FIV/FELV test, fecal exams and other test. Other technical procedures include nail trims, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, urine and fecal collection, cleaning wounds, removing sutures, changing bandages, dispensing medication, client education, and admitting and discharging hospitalized patients.
The duties of the receptionist would include: scheduling appointments for patients in accordant with established procedures, answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, receive and convey messages in writing and verbally. The candidate will communicate with the client what procedures their pet is due for and educate clients on services and products we provide.
The ideal candidate will be willing to work at late as 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A six- week schedule will be posted in advance.
