Nutritional Counseling
Over half of the patients we see have nutritional issues, most commonly obesity. Proper diet is essential for your pet’s normal growth and development, and for maintaining a healthy weight throughout its adult years. Many diet-related problems, such as pancreatitis and diabetes, can be avoided by getting your pet on a firm nutritional footing from the outset, and avoiding common pitfalls such as feeding from the table and excessive treats. Our Veterinarians will discuss your pet’s diet with you during its annual wellness exam, and offer recommendations and product suggestions. In addition, our hospital maintains a full line of prescription diets for those pets with medical conditions that have special nutritional requirements.
