Parasite Prevention & Control
Your pet should be free from parasites, both internal and external. Common internal parasites include heartworms, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms. The most frequent and annoying external parasites include fleas, ticks, and mites. Parasites diminish your pet’s quality of life, and in some instances, can be life-threatening as well. Several parasites are Zoonotic, which means they can cause disease in both pets and Humans. It is important to recognize when an infestation develops, and to take proper steps to eliminate it. Parasite testing is an important part of your pet’s annual physical exam. When detected, our Veterinarians will recommend the most effective products and methods to eliminate parasites, both from your pet and from your home.
